When a Local Supplier Failed, We Stepped In – Custom Knife Gate Valves Shipped to West Africa on Time
A customer in West Africa had originally purchased a batch of knife gate valves from a local supplier. That supplier failed to deliver as promised, and for an extended period, there was simply no product in sight. With their project deadline approaching, they came to us for help.
The challenge was clear: the valves had to be manufactured strictly according to their engineering drawings, and the timeline was already extremely tight.

Going the Extra Mile to Find the Right Manufacturer
We started by reaching out to multiple factories. The customer’s budget was initially well below our typical range for custom orders, and our first quotations were rejected. After several rounds of communication, the customer shared their target budget with us. We then contacted a number of manufacturers, compared capabilities, and eventually identified a factory that met both the quality requirements and the cost parameters.

To ensure no corners would be cut, we visited the factory in person to assess their production lines, quality control systems, and track record before moving forward(Video call with our client). Only after confirming their capability did we proceed with the order.

Drawing Review and Production
Once we had the right factory on board, our technical team worked with them to complete drawing breakdown and process review within 24 hours, confirming all critical tolerances, sealing face materials, and flange connection standards with the customer before production began.
The factory then prioritized this order through a dedicated production lane:
Casting: Raw materials were allocated immediately to minimize waiting time.
Machining & Assembly: Dedicated supervisors tracked every step to ensure precise fitting between the gate and the sealing surface.
Pressure & Seal Testing: Each valve underwent 100% inspection, with traceable test reports issued alongside the finished goods.
The production schedule was tight, but we coordinated closely with the factory to ensure every milestone was met. The batch was completed on time – exactly as promised to the customer.

Arrange transportation in a timely manner
Given the urgency, we arranged direct truck transport from the factory to the port, bypassing intermediate warehousing. We pre-booked shipping slots on the West African route, ensuring the goods could be immediately loaded into containers and sealed upon arrival at the port. Customs clearance and port consolidation were completed smoothly, without a single day’s delay.
Currently, the shipment has been loaded and set sail as planned, and is expected to arrive at its destination port within the originally scheduled transit time.

This batch of knife gate valves will be used in the tailings pipeline system of a mining project in West Africa, where sealing reliability is critical to operational safety. The customer, who had previously been let down by another supplier, is now assured that their project can finally move forward.
Behind every shipment is not just product – it’s capability. We don’t wait for problems to find us; we actively pursue every opportunity to deliver what others can’t.
